Staff Pick for Local Color, Literally

As the in-house illustrator for Downtown Orlando agency of record: Prismatic, I advanced efforts to rebrand and reimagine the Discover Downtown Center by creating Color our city beautiful, an illustrated coloring map of the city. The map was printed large-scale and used as an activity wall for visitors to color in. Through this project, we activated a previously unused space in the Center and generated social and community media chatter that inspired both Orlando locals and tourists to visit.

Prismatic and I also produced a small-scale, to-go version of the map  released under our Orlantone campaign  to provide visitors an opportunity to color and explore the map in the comfort of their homes.

INTERACTIVE

Invites all kinds of people to visit Discover Downtown and participate by coloring a little portion of the community project.

ACCURATE

Tourists are able to use the map to orient themselves between their current location and different spots to visit in the city.

FULL OF DETAIL

Locals can find familiar people, places, and things that they love in their own City Beautiful.

What was once a narrow space where one could pick up pamphlets for local attractions or bus schedules is now a bright and welcoming space full of Orlando flavor. Our favorite part is Anna Cruz's wall-sized aerial-view illustration of the DTO, done in black-and-white outlines ready to be colored in by you.
